How To Get Rid Of Pimples

How To Get Rid Of Pimples
by Nina Romanov

Pimples are caused by clogged pores/skin ducts. To treat these eruptions the most important thing is to gently wash the skin with a neutral PH such as Dove only 2 or 3 time a day.

Overwashing or using harsh soaps and cleansers can make adult acne worse by removing essential oils and making your dry kin condition likely to flare up and send you off to find the latest acne miracle cure.

To treat flare ups use a medicated acne treatment and a good moisturizer. Once you understand the causes of acne you will be better able to treat it.

Again be sure to treat your fragile skin with a gentle delicate touch. I know I said this before but it is vital you understand the importance of gentle skin cleansing.

Both teen and adult acne I caused by over activity of the sebaceous gland which causes pimples to erupt.

You cannot get rid of acne by popping the pimples. If anything, it worsens the condition because bacteria lays on the skin and more pimples appear. Also the popped pimples can leave scars called pock marks. You can apply topical acne meds to your skin but one of the best treatments for mild to moderate acne is to leave it alone and let it heal. This is difficult but it can help.

Do you know that pimples can show up on any part of the human body except the soles of your feet? This means that the pores on your genitals can get pimples just like your face or back. This means that you scalp, penis or vagina can have pimples. Polluted air, dirt, sweat and other pollutants and hormonal fluctuations can all cause penile and vaginal pimples.

In a severe case see a physician. Otherwise, leave it alone. Do you really want to ask the drugstore clerk how to get rid of pimples on your private parts?

Be kind to your skin you will have it for many years and it can't be replaced so eat a healthy diet, cleanse it gently, get some sunlight but avoid over exposure and use sunscreen.

In severe cases of acne, it would be wise to see a dermatologist for evaluation and treatment, this will reduce the risk of scarring.

Teen or Adult Best Acne Scar Skin Treatment

Teen or Adult Best Acne Scar Skin Treatment
by Nina Romanov

Luckily there are several non surgical acne scar treatments so most of us will not have to resort to surgery for the removal of acne scars. Laser treatment is improving all the time but can not be used while you have an active outbreak. You are probably wondering what is the best acne scar treatment for you.

Medical research into the non-surgical treatment has not been a priority. There has also been little research into how the scars form, so few treatment are available. Most sufferers resort to natural and home remedies.

However the situation is improving, but it may be awhile before we see any results. Dermabrasion has shown some good results, but the more modern laser acne scar removal seems to be gaining ground.

It is unclear at this point as to which of these treatments will prove to be more effective. The battle can only help acne victims, since there will be a move to produce the most effective acne scar treatment.

Acne scar treatment has two levels, the treatment of mild scars caused by widening pores and the treatment of deep acne scars.

The best treatment for you may be a home remedy , an over the counter acne scar treatment, or laser treatments. For many of us it may prove to be a combination of all three treatment regimens since many people have more than one type of acne.

You should discuss any acne scar treatment with your physician or dermatologist so that you can discuss all available options including over the counter and home remedies.

Rose hip oil is one of the best natural remedies which helps the skin to regenerate. It doesn't work fast and appears to work best for raised acne scars. Elicina Cream containing glycolic acid in a natural form with natural antibiotics and skin repair substances is used to prevent and heal acne and lessen the effect of scarring.

The claim is that Elecina cream reduces pigment scarring but it didn't work for me. However friends with cystic acne found it seems to ward of future outbreaks.

Deep acne scarring must be treated by a professional and home treatments should be avoided. Professional treatments are quite costly, and usually require a series of treatments.

In dermabrasion the skin is numbed and a machine with rapid rotating edges is applied in a process similar to sanding off the top layer of skin. It takes a few weeks to heal and may need to be repeated.

Laser acne scar treatment is currently twice as expensive as Dermabrasion. Some people who have had laser treatment complain that their skin remained pink for months after.

For myself a chemical peel did the trick. I found that a 2nd treatment was needed. Chemical peels only works for mild scarring.

Some "ice pick" scars are very deep. There are three treatments being used for this type of scarring. One is a graft, skin from beneath the ear is used. This appears to be the most successful. Another treatment removes the scars and lets it heal itself. The third treatment is cutting the scar at the bottom. This lets it drift up to the surface and hide the scar.

Subcision cuts and removes the scar. When this heals a blood clot forms and rises to the skin surface. This also can require repeat treatments and is sometimes combined with dermabrsion.

As you can see there is no one teen or adult best acne scar skin treatment that works for everyone.

Adult Acne Skin Care Products

Adult Acne Skin Care Products
by Nina romanov

For this reason I don't rely on product reviews to find the best treatment for my adult acne.

Product reviews may lead you to think that a particular acne product is perfect. If all the reviews praise a product some people may consider this almost a guarantee. They wind up very disappointed.

The acne treatment that works for you may not work for your daughter. My motto is "The best acne treatment is the one that works for you." No one acne treatment works for everyone. What works for your best friend may not work for you.

Whether or not a treatment will wok depends in part on the severity of you acne. For mild cases, over the counter remedies may very well take care of the problem. It is worth a try.

Give an acne treatment about 6 weeks, if there isn't any improvement you might want to consider using a proactive acne product. Proactive means preventing a future event. In this case using a treatment that will prevent future acne flare-ups while treating the current outbreak.

Why use a proactive acne treatment? If you have acne now you will likely have future episodes. So you need to find a way to prevent that. Proactive acne products are the best adult acne skin care products.

One very popular treatment for adult and teen acne is Proactiv® Solutions. It has a minimum of 3 products which are intended to be used together in a particular order. The products included are a cleanser, toner and repairing lotion. They also provide a lotion to control the oil, and a moisturizer. This is a very effective acne treatment regimen. There are, however, a few people who have complained their acne worsened when they used the Proactiv program.

Are there other adult acne skin care products that actually work? Yes most acne medications work the same way, heal over acne you have now and preventing the frequency of future attacks. Triclosan, an anti bacterial, anti fungal agent, is an ingredient in most acne medication. Salycyclir acid is another medication used in acne products. I found that 2.5% benzoyl peroxide was as effective for treating my acne as the 10% product, but it did make my skin flaky and dry. Sometimes I didn't want to leave the house. However all that greatly improved when a dermatologist told me to add a moisturizer to my routine. I couldn't believe it, why would an acne sufferer want to re-hydrate her skin, BUT it worked.

Another mistake I made is that I used the acne treatment more frequently than was recommended. It took me awhile to realize I was irritating my skin and creating fertile ground for a new flare-up.

Luckily my acne scarring was light, due in part to learning early on that popping pimples and squeezing blackheads was NOT an effective acne treatment.

There really is no effective over the counter acne treatment. Scarring requires a dermatologist visit since every one scars differently.

Laser treatments are improving and in the future it will be very effective in acne treatment. The highly touted Accutane is generally used when all other acne treatments have failed. While it does not offer good results, most users get dry skin and chapped lips.

Often this worse than the acne. Also when Accutane is stopped the acne returns in most patients. In a very few patients, joint and muscle pains, nose bleeds, intestinal and urinary problems occur. Discuss all of these issues with your physician before beginning treatment or if you experience any of these side effects.

If your acne is new or not too bad try sample or trial sizes of acne products. Eat less refined sugars and processed foods and more fruits and vegetables.

If you can't find effective over the counter adult acne skin care products, give in and see a dermatologist for a more effective medication.
